The designs and artworks for the top 50 are really good, they are all differ entirely from one another and try and really capture the artist themselves.

My two favourites have to be Grizzly Bear by Mike Perry, and The XX by Merdith Gran, pretty well suited I suppose as I do really enjoy both Grizzly Bear and The XX.
I really like Mike Perry's work, and with this it is really illustrative typography, very free and flowing. His typography work kind of reminds me of Ed Fella's type. It is very illustrative and colourful, yet Perry's work is a lot more brash and bold

I think the idea of getting designers to each develop a piece per artist is a really cool idea, makes the whole thing so much more interactive and personal. Rather than the website just doing a photo of the band with their rating, this creates such a better atmosphere, whilst getting more people involved.
Hype Machine being community driven once again.
